If you've upgraded to Windows 11 version 24H2 for your business, you might have encountered an irritating issue with File Explorer.
File Explorer is the familiar tool for navigating your files and folders. It's typically straightforward, but some users are experiencing problems with the “See more” menu after installing this update.
This menu, indicated by three small dots, usually appears below your mouse cursor, offering options like “Select All” or “View Properties”.
However, due to a recent bug, the “See more” menu is jumping to the top of the screen, often going out of view. If you’re using File Explorer in full-screen mode, some menu options might not be accessible.
It's quite frustrating, to say the least.
Fortunately, there's an easy workaround: Ensure you’re using File Explorer in windowed mode, where it shares the screen with other applications. To do this, click the square icon in the top-right corner (next to the “X” used to close it).
You can then adjust the size of the File Explorer window, allowing you to access the “See more” menu, even if it continues to act up.
The positive news is that Microsoft is aware of the issue and is working on a solution.
Minor glitches like this can be bothersome when you and your team are trying to be productive.
